Samsung K3: Touch it when you're feeling blue
Tags: samsung, nano, ipod nano, yp
This sexy device is the YP-K3, one of Samsung's latest MP3 players. It looks similar to the iPod nano and is only 7mm thick and 50g in weight, making it very pocket friendly. The casing has a Chocolate phone feel to it, with a seamless black front that hides blue touch-sensitive buttons.
The navigation interface is straightforward to use with cute icons, similar to the ones found in the Samsung YP-K5, telling you which of the functions you are about to access. The 46mm (1.8-inch) screen displays track information as well as photos.
MP3 and WMA formats are supported so you should be able to get your favourite tracks on to it. There are 2GB, 4GB and 8GB versions, meaning you can store from 500 to 2,000 songs, and it includes an FM radio, a feature not found on the iPod nano. It has a 25-hour battery life so you won't need to recharge it too often.
The K3 should be available early this year, but Samsung couldn't give us an exact date. -AL
