iHalloween: Turn your iPod into a Ouija board

When we first heard that occultists were using the new iPod to channel spirits, we had our doubts. Why would ancient spirits choose to manifest themselves in consumer electronics -- don't they prefer the dusty seclusion of basement seances? Apparently not.

The introduction of the Click Wheel alphabet-search system in the new iPod range has opened the floodgates to a new breed of occultist. Not only can the Click Wheel emulate the traditional Ouija board and planchette, but it does so in a small, portable format. Leading Ouija boardists have discovered that the iPod can not only provide the traditional letters and numbers of the board, but spirits are now able to pick songs, or playlists, to convey their messages.

It being Halloween today, we decided to give it a go. Our iOuija board is a new electric pink iPod nano. We placed our fingers on the iPod and our PC Editor invoked ancient chants to open a gate to the world beyond. Once we were fairly sure a spirit had possessed the iPod, we asked it, "What is your name?"

This first effort was unexpectedly successful. It took a while for our fingers to move around the Click Wheel, and the iPod shifted about a bit on the desk (to be expected when it's channelling other worlds). The spirit's name appeared to be 'brad'. We asked brad, "When did you die?"

The results of this question were rather less impressive. Perhaps Brad had become petulant, perhaps Brad didn't want us summoning him and asking bothersome questions. Alternatively, Brad was bad at spelling:

We asked Brad, "How did you die?" Our fingers slipped on the Click Wheel and transitioned to a different menu. Clearly Brad wanted to communicate with us using the medium of song. Our fingers scrolled slowly though the tracks, as it neared the 'M' section it slowed to almost a stop before settling, chillingly, on Murder Incorporated. This was a shock few of us were ready for -- the ghost liked Bruce Springsteen.

We asked Brad some more questions, which he refused to answer in any coherent manner. After a long pause, our fingers shot down the track listing again, spinning the Click Wheel like a demonic merry-go-round. The Wheel settled on Better Be Home Soon.

Brad was telling us he wanted to go. We all took our fingers off the iPod planchette and let Brad return to the spirit world.

The iPod iOuija board works far better than the traditional Ouija board. During future sessions we intend to plug it into a loud stereo system to increase the scary quotient when a spirit picks a track. Let us know how you got on with channelling spirits with your own iPods. Owners of an iPod prior to the latest versions won't be able to use the search feature as a planchette, but they can still let spirits pick tracks. Happy Halloween! -CS

the chant? i don't think there has to be a chant, i mean on a ouiji board you don't need one, you just have to ask if there is anyone there... thats all i do.
so i'm guessing it would be the same with this way too... don't you? if you've tried it, let me know how it goes! :D

People DONT try this. You definitely dont want to contact demon in any means. It doesnt matter it is the traditional Ouija or this so call the latest version iOuija, it is the way devil try to invade you under the cover of hi-tech and trendy. Once you open up a channel for demons, they will never leave you. I know you have heard there are so many real stories of exorcising. Such a thing you never want to touch and you have to run away from it.

This is a very interesting comment, This poster is someone who has been well brain washed, Our brain has only so many inputs, if we had the "band width" of a "Dolphin" which are highly intelligent aquatic mammals or that of a dog. We would see much more of the world than our limited senses allow us. not only that but the word Demon in greek means sperit or being vastly more intelligent than you or I, after all they don't have anything holding them back as far as our limited physical or mentalist abilities go. Etc, etc.

this is the way the devil try to invade you under the cover of hi-tech and trendy. Once you open up a channel for demons, they will never leave you.

Please, there are no such thing as demons. Am I an Atheist you ask? Hardly, read Zac. 13:1-3 where the prophecy is foretold that once Jesus dies "unclean spirits shall pass from the land." While I dont believe in demons, here is a point of logic. Wouldn't belief in/fear of demons just give them more power over you? In fact isn't it logical to say that "demons" are just another way of control by the devil?

Why not a Voodoo Pod? Then you might as well torture other people by making their iPods play crappy music. When you play with fire, you are bound to get burnt - (or at least your iPod might burn out). If it can take something as simple as your iPod over, it can take over the clown that put it on the iPod. But then again, spirits and demons are just scary old wives tales, aren't they? ;)

The above technique is actually just a modernization of an ancient method of Divination, called "Bibliomancy" -- meaning Divination by using texts. (Usually, a Bible, or other Holy book). Just to be on the safe side, I'd recommend people say a prayer or protective invocation before playing around with the OuijaPod©. It's not that "demons" can "get" you, but that the answers you receive may disturb you, and possibly be beyond your understanding to interpret. For more on such subjects, feel free to contact me.

Here is the thing. If you don't know what it is your dealing with, or what energy signiture/expectation/mass consciousness your dealing with, you obviously don't know how to counter it when you get an Etheric "Hook". It doesn't matter squat what you call it.
If your not versed in this type of energy flow, don't screw with it unless you are completely comfortable and capable of dealing with the effects.
Frankly, I don't know why people mess with this. There are more secure, dependable and reliable sources that you can garner your information from. It's not the toy people think it is.

Isn't technology just amazing. I love it. I don't believe ouija boards are dangerous. I have used them for nearly 35 years with not one problem. I think the answer lies in what your intention is. The demons out there are not from the spirit world, they are here on earth. Go the iPod oiuja board. I gotta get me one of them.

Okay, so historically the Ouija Board has a bad reputation as unsafe but you can practice safely with other tools such as pendulums that have been around for hundreds of years with a fascinating history.

Hey, I have a pink Ipod nano & I was just curious, but do you have to be in a haunted area for a oujia board to work? I'm just now getting interested in all this stuff & was wanting to try this with my Ipod & see if it will work for me & my friend. Becuz my lil brother doesnt believe in any of this stuff. But I think this kinda stuff is really kool especially since you can do it with your Ipod.

Okay, so you don't need a quija board, tarot cards, pendulum...anything of the sort to contact spirits. You can take a plain white pience of paper...right some letters on it...yes and no...or whatnot..take a paper cup as the "message indicator" and viola! Just because it says Parker Brothers on it doesn't mean it will work any better. As for the religious war that seems to be going on let me explain something. It doesnt matter what religion you are or what it says in the bible...the bible does not tell you everything that is out there...it simply lets you know what to do to lead a godly life. NOW...there is something else out there...call them demons, spirits or even ghosts....they are out there...you may not be able to explain them but perhaps we arent supposed to explain it. It is. That is all.

Where i work at, they sell this as well but my store is like a variety of adult items, funny gags, over the hill, fairy/fantasy, & like beer & smoking accessories or w.e. But yea i would never buy that game, & i think my ipod is already possessed. Every night at the same time it goes on by itself while it's on lock. Like wtf? I can understand it happening once but not everyday. Well i guess is the dumb ass ghost in my house. It's not even scary, it's more annoying.

haha. people of this generation..
i've only played with a ouija board twice in my life.
they are very real. my aunt owns one and has "healing hands"
as the spirits call her. with my friend my brother and i, the hand dial was weak and as soon as my aunt put her finger on it, it moved super fast. it was freaky how much they say my aunt has "healing hands." i don't fully understand why.. she works at wal-mart. she is not nearly as educated as a doctor. i don't know about this stuff. i think it all depends on what kind peoples intentions are of Ouija board.

Ouija Boards are very dangerous, DON'T get involoved with them. They may seem like fun and games but they are NOT controlled by the spirits of dead people. They are controlled by Satan, and he uses these to grab ahold of people and sometimes even posseses them with demons. Please, whatever you do, don't get invovled with Ouija Boards.

Seriously, I am far too busy to mess around with funny little numbers and letters on a board, I have a whole underworld to run, there are new souls to steal and bargain for, people trying to escape all the time and with technology changing every day it is hard to keep up with the different ways to spead all the evil around the world. Ok, so a couple of the little lesser demons have sneeked through the odd ouija board but I didn't make them and I certainly haven't used one myself to "posess" anyone.... it is far too dark ages. So in short please have no fear of these silly little toys if I want your soul.... i will take it anyway....

Just when I start respecting humanity more I run across a page like this. The people from the article just might be having some laughs, but reading thru these comments made me nauseous. To think people still take this stuff seriously is mind boggling.

I admit I thought there was something to this once. In middle school!!! There are grown people who haven't realized the idiocy of this magic spirit hocus pocus. There are even people on here desperately warning about the DANGER of using your hands to move a little piece to spell out words.

If you ever want to see how real this stuff is, get your buddies to have a Quija party. Pick several people to operate the piece, blindfold all of them, and set them randomly around the board. Have everyone else write down what is spelled. I'll bet you won't get much

HA! Played with the iPod one may times, sucks, doesn't work. I used a real one and well, like people said before me, don't ask him for his number, his number though isn't 666, as many people like to think. I asked and I got that it wasn't 666, but in a very secret way. I have talked with demons and I talked to one more than once, so they got to know me, don't ask the number unless you have already talked to the demon, but even then I wouldn't. For Ouija boards, they are fun to use dangerous to keep. 666 or ??? What do you believe?

you bet wrong, love. me and my friend were trying it with a home made ouija board, it worked fine. and like many other doubtful people, i was suspicious of my friend moving it. so what did i do? i blindfolded her and recorded it working as i asked questions. yes, it still managed to spell out words and most significantly, correctly answered if it knew my lucky number. i'm not religious and all the talk about the Devil makes me wary when using it but all i got from my experience is the realisation of another spiritual form EXISITING.

by the way, i haven't got my iPod to work yet. with ouija boards, the spirits move the planchette, yes? so how does it move with an iPod? does it move your fingers round the click wheel? if anyone has tried it, can they do a better job by explaining clearly how this works. thank you.
