Chris's Christmas shopping: BMW Z4

MP3 Players

So the average user accessorises their iPod with a lanyard, a carrying pouch or a hollowed-out guinea pig, cured for a week and then stuffed with Apple's iconic MP3 player. For my latest Christmas Crave present I'm going one step further. This word gangster is going to accessorise his iPod with a BMW Z4.

You can hire the ultimate podcessory for £180 a day including insurance and VAT. I'm hiring it for the afternoon to use as an elaborate speaker system for my iPod nano. All new BMWs come with an iPod interface.

These days driving a BMW is increasingly socially acceptable. Gone is the age when street urchins would scratch the side panels and prise the badge off with rusty screwdrivers, then set about the bonnet with conkers on string. And consumer capitalism has meant that even society's most unsavoury characters can buy an iPod. Just the other day a homeless man was found to have an Xbox 360 and an HD-ready TV under his blanket.

As soon as my Beamer is ready, I'm going to exploit the insurance policy available on this car and take it rallying on Dartmoor. With Rage Against The Machine to keep me appropriately soundtracked, and secure in the knowledge that a bent chassis will not cost me a penny, this Christmas is going to be the best yet. -Chris Stevens

Chris has already bought these items:
Apple Power Mac G5 quad-core

Q-BE MP3 Player
BMW Z4 (for a day)

He has £2,419 to spend before Christmas Day.
