PodGear: There's a party in my pocket and everyone's invited

You've recently bought an iPod nano, got bored and splashed out on a range of fashion accessories that you wear down the gym. But now everyone has the little blighter, how can you show off your dedication to capitalism's favourite poster boy? Thankfully, there are probably more iPod accessories right now than there are iPods, so we set about rounding up some of PodGear's finest.

The cheeky minx has whipped over two of its new podcessories -- one little speaker for the iPod nano, and an AV cable that lets you watch photos on your TV. The speaker system is tiny, like a little pedestal to show off the equally diminutive nano. Our black model looked at odds with the white finish of the PocketParty, and the two angled speakers only provide 1W of sound. We also wish it had an FM radio on-board, because it's about time Apple started including this feature on the iPod. The PocketParty is a little tinny for our ears, but it costs £25 and is available now.

PodGear's other new product is the PhotoBuddy -- in fact, the company seems to be obsessed with portmanteau product names. With a headphone adaptor on one end and yellow, white and red AV connectors at the other, the cable winds itself up at the touch of a button after you've watched your photos on a TV. You can even play back music at the same time. Unfortunately, the iPod nano's small screen size means that photos are tiny and can't be sent to a TV because they'd look rubbish. Oh well, the forward march of technology claims yet another victim. The PhotoBuddy costs £15 -- the same price as the official Apple model. -GC
