We couldn't wait to get our hands on the Canon EOS 500D, the latest -- and most affordable -- dSLR camera to shoot video. It's full high-definition video, at that.
Crave joined Canon high above London's bustling Square Mile to put the 500D through its paces. This 15-megapixel impressed us when hooked up to an HDTV, and it boasts simplified user experience over higher-specced models from which it inherits a number of features.
One such feature is high-definition video capture, with different resolution and frame rates on offer. It also packs in a consumer-friendly creative auto mode. Jessops is already offering the 500D on pre-order from £870, with a free 8GB Sandisk Extreme 3 Card and Canon DSLR bag with the two kits and even the body-only model.
