Panasonic Lumix DMC-G2 and DMC-G10: Micro Four Thirds cameras leaked

Panasonic let the Micro Four Thirds cat out of the bag yesterday, posting images and specs of its forthcoming Lumix DMC-G2 and DMC-G10 cameras on its Web site, before forcibly reinserting said feline into aforementioned sack and removing the pages.

The specs, captured and posted on various photography-enthusiast sites, such as 4/3 Rumors, appear to be a work in progress. Both cameras seem to sport a 12.1-megapixel resolution, an ISO range of 100 to 6,200, and a 76mm (3-inch) touch-sensitive LCD display. They also appear capable of capturing 720p video, but that's about as concrete as it gets.

Panasonic's expected to formally announce the pair on Sunday, and our uber-dedicated camera guru, Rich Trenholm, will be skipping church to attend the Focus on Imaging show. From there he will serve up a slice of truth cake, with factual cherries on top and an ice-cold scoop of veracity on the side. So stay tuned.

In the meantime, click 'Continue' to see more of the G2 and G10, and refresh your memory of Panasonic's previous Micro Four Thirds efforts by reading our bleedin' marvellous reviews of the Lumix DMC-G1, DMC-GH1 and DMC-GF1.
