Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS7, FS15, LS85: Auto-everything
By Joshua Goldman on 19 January 2009, 10:11am

If the announcement of the new FS-series cameras from Panasonic isn't enough for you, the company announced the Lumix DMC-LS85, too.
The DMC-LS85 runs on two AA batteries (good for about 270 shots using alkalines, and 550 using NiMHs). It also has a 4x f2.8-5.9 33-132mm-equivalent lens with optical image stabilisation -- a rarity in a compact camera at a US price of $119 (£80).
It also features Panasonic's Intelligent Auto Mode, which, along with the Mega OIS, includes Intelligent ISO Control, Intelligent Scene Selector and face detection.
It should be available in the US this April in silver, black and pink. UK pricing and availability have yet to be announced.
