Olympus X-890 and X-915 hit the high street with Jessops

Jessops may be having its ups and downs lately, but isn't everyone? The high-street retailer has dropped Pentax entirely, but is clearly still spooning happily with Olympus, having just announced two exclusive cameras: the Olympus X-890 and X-915.

The kitschily styled X-890 is a 10-megapixel point-and-shoot with a 3x optical zoom and 69mm (2.7-inch) LCD screen. The X-915 struts into town with 12 megapixels and a large 5x optical zoom.

Both cameras support both XD and microSD via an adaptor, which seems to be the new thing for Olympus cameras. Why Olympus is so determined not to board the SD-card bandwagon is anybody's guess: maybe an SD card stole Olympus' girlfriend once.

The Olympus X-890 is available through Jessops for £259, while the X-915 will cost you £299.
