Leica D-Lux 4 Titanium: what rich people get for Christmas

Don't know about you, Cravers, but we're bored of hearing how to get around this festive season's economic woes. We refuse to even use the drearily oft-repeated C-words -- you know the ones we mean, they rhyme with "dreaded brunch isthmus". Instead, we bring you the true meaning of Christmas: opulence! Overspending! A substantially more expensive version of something you may already have! It's the Leica Leica D-Lux 4 Titanium camera -- y'know, for rich people!

The D-Lux 4 Titanium is like the D-Lux 4 but with a titanium body, and also a leather case. For those of you too busy polishing your Bentley, the D-Lux 4 is a 10.1-megapixel snapper with a 76mm (3-inch) LCD screen and 24mm wide angle lens. It shoots raw as well as jpegs, and in burst mode will capture 2.5 frames per second.

The limited edition D-Lux 4 Titanium will be available from January 2009, so perhaps it's something to spend those vouchers from Gran on. There will only be 10,000 available globally, but if you miss out you could always try and track down the already-released titanium limited editions of the M7 and MP.

There's no word yet on how much the D-Lux 4 Titanium will set you back, but the current model sans titanium is available for £450-550. Incidentally, if the dreaded brunch is biting, Leica also offers a whopping £650 cashback off the M8, bringing the price down to a much more manageable £3000. Merry isthmus, everybody!
