Fujifilm confirms S2000HD, J150w, J110w, J100, and J120

Fujifilm has officially confirmed the launch of a bunch of new cameras accidentally leaked by the Canadians a week ago. Those crazy Canucks publically outed the S2000HD superzoom and some new entries to the compact J series: the J150w, J110w, J100 and J120.

Let's take a look at the S2000HD, pictured above. It's a 10-megapixel superzoom, sporting a honking great 15x optical zoom. The focal length is 5-75mm, equivalent to 27.6-414mm on a 35mm camera.

Features include a selection of burst modes, shooting three images at 1.1 frames per second, 33 shots at 7fps at 5 megapixels or lower, or the same at 13.5fps at 3 megapixels.

You also get high-definition video, with 15 minutes of 1,280x720-pixel footage on offer. 640x480-pixel VGA video is another option, at 30fps. It's only mono sound, sadly, but you can zoom while filming.

The Fujifilm S2000HD runs off four AA batteries. Whether it's the coolest thing to originate in Canada since Wolverine will become clear in September. UK pricing is yet to be announced. Click through the photos for a taste of more Canadian bacon. -Rich Trenholm
