Free Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7-inch tablet with your new camera? Don't mind if I do. Yes, buy a Samsung NX1000, NX210 or NX20 camera and the Tab 2 Android tablet is yours for the grand sum of no pounds and no pence.
The NX1000 plus gratis tablet costs around £430, while the NX20 and Tab 2 costs around £820.
The Tab 2 is around £200 if you buy it on its own -- which clearly no-one is, otherwise Samsung wouldn't have enough lying round to give away. (Thanks, Nexus 7! Thexus 7.) You get the tablet right there in the shop when you buy the camera -- that is unless you buy it at Currys, PC World, Dixons or John Lewis, in which case you have to fill in an online form.
You can buy camera and tablet together online from Amazon, Jessops, Very, Littlewoods, and Park Cameras.
You can also knock some money off your purchase thanks to a cashback deal on the cameras -- after you've bought your snapper, fill in an online form and get £50 back for the Samsung NX1000 or £100 for either the NX210 and Samsung NX20.
The offer runs until 9 January, so there's plenty of time to bag someone a camera and a tablet in time for Christmas -- or you could just keep one of them as a little present for yourself. We won't tell anyone.
You might not think of Samsung as a leader in the camera world, but the NX system of interchangeable lenses is one of the better lens-swapping systems. The NX20 earned itself the great honour of a prestigious CNET UK Editor's Choice award thanks to its sturdy body, simple i-Function controls and great shots. In fact, the only thing we weren't sure about was the price -- so it looks like Samsung reads these things after all.
Meanwhile, the NX210 comes with Wi-Fi, so will connect to the Tab 2 to send your pictures winging their way to the tablet without having to plug into your computer.

This Galaxy tablet model, like the previous models, is also being given away free with some mobile phone contracts and with full price Galaxy S3 phones.
They haven't sold any significant numbers of these devices and reports suggest the bulk of those shipped from Samsung have languished in warehouses and storerooms.
This is nothing more than a clear out of unwanted stock and another failed tablet design will then be quietly forgotten.

My brother works for a large electrical retail chain and says they had quite a lot of stock of this Samsung tablet and its larger brother, but they weren't shifting as sales were extremely poor.
He says they've since cleared a lot of them out to 3rd party resellers.

did want a tablet for work but while I have an interest in photography, did not have the intention of buying another. But this offer had me scratching my head. Six months ago this camera was selling for £580 or so while the tablet was selling for £199. So £770 together.
Now for the both we are being asked for £350. Less than half.
What's more, for legitimate business use for VAT registered businesses there is £20% off £400, so another £40 off, which brings it down to £310. Then it qualifies for tax relief as a business expense as well which probably knocks an average of 30% off the price before VAT Another £100 off. As a business purchase it is a no-brainer..

Having re-read the above, the VAT deduction brings the advertised price of £399 down by £66.50. So £399 less £66.50 [the VAT element of £399] = £332.50.
Less 30% [which might vary] = £232.75 less £50 cash back.
So the net price after all allowances for a qualifying small business ends up being £182.75, depending on the applicable income tax rate, for both devices!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Similar problems here - offer says 28 days but I've been waiting over 6 weeks now. I wouldn't have bought the camera if I thought I would have been stringed out like this by Samsung.
