Digital Cameras

This weekend saw the start of the annual Focus on Imaging photography show in Birmingham's NEC, where bearded chaps with shiny pates and skinny-trewed art students with glossy fringes jealously mingled, feverishly fingering the latest camera goodies. Among those goodies were a selection of new models from Fujifilm: the FinePix F200EXR, Z30 and Z33.

The F200EXR is named and noted for its interesting new 1/1.6-in Super CCD EXR sensor. Well, interesting if you like that sort of thing. It's all about the layout of light-collecting diodes inside this 12-megapixel point-and-shoot, which can be re-tasked for different lighting conditions.

On inspecting the F200, we notice that its frame is near-identical to the Fujifilm FinePix F100fd. It shares the F100's 28mm wide-angle 5x optical zoom lens, as well as face detection 3.0 and a 76mm (3-inch) screen.

We also met the colourful 10-megapixel Z30 and Z33. Click through the photos to see the water-related difference between the two and meet the new cameras in the flesh, complete with a higher class of hand modelling than you'd normally see here at Crave.
