Hands on with the 24-megapixel Nikon D3X

Here are some shots we took with the D3X before it was cruelly wrested from our fingers, in what we can only describe as the best three minutes of our lives. Here's a link to high-resolution versions, so you can study the tonal gradation, dynamic range and lovely silky-smooth skin... er, we mean, accurately-reproduced skin tones.

Ahem.

If you're convinced, the good news is that the Nikon D3X will be in the shops before Christmas, for around £5,200. What credit crunch?
