Sony Cyber-shot T2: Monster memory
Just when we'd vented our spleens on the pointlessness of lilliputian internal memory in cameras, along comes the Sony Cyber-shot T2. Named for someone at Sony's favourite film, perhaps? The T2 packs a cyborg killing machine of a memory, with a whopping 4GB onboard.
According to Sony, the enormous memory stuffs in 1,000 pictures at full 8-megapixel resolution or up to 40,000 pictures at VGA quality. That means you can start taking pictures with the T2, and it will not stop, ever, until you are dead. Or until the memory is full, whichever.
It's an 8-megapixel compact with a fairly standard 3x optical zoom lens, and much more important, optical image stabilisation.
Other features include high-definition viewing, tagging and favourites folders, and Sony's pointless and facile Smile Shutter feature.
