You've probably seen our amazing pictures of the Koenigsegg Quant electric sports car in our photo gallery. One thing we bet you haven't seen is video of the thing, which is exactly what we've got here -- along with a rare interview with its inventor, Nunzio La Vecchia.
Nunzio, who's something of a rock star in his spare time, told us he hooked up with Christian von Koenigsegg one day, shared his vision of a solar-powered electric sports car, and within a short space of time, the pair were drawing up plans for the Quant probably on the back of a packet of Beluga caviar.
It's the first four-seater all-electric sports car that can be charged via the mains and, thanks to a special solar 'spray', by the rays of the sun. Nunzio says it'll produce 512bhp and 715Nm of torque, which is good for a 0-62mph of 5.2 seconds and a top speed of 171mph.
You can read more about the Quant here, but we recommend you hit the play button above first. Let us know what you think in the comments below.
