Step this way for a photo tour of the Paris Motor Show's top green car debuts, from economic Peugeot sports cars to hydrogen Ford Kas.

Renault ZE
This electric car concept turned a few heads with its fluorescent green windows ("acid lime" in the marketese). The design is based on Renault's Kangoo Boo Bop, which I personally find ugly and boxy, but some may see as the height of practicality. Aside from the electric engine, other interesting eco touches include a solar PV panel on the roof to power some of the cabin electrics, plus insulation and heat reflective paint to minimise the need for air con. No word yet on the car's range or top speed. Will it become reality any day soon? Probably not in the UK, but thanks to Renault's partnerships, it could become the vehicle of choice for the electric car network, Better Place.
