Ferrari's hybrid vehicle may be some years away from fruition, but that hasn't stopped the Prancing Horse trying to make existing cars, such as the California, more friendly to the environment.
It plans to start by fitting the car with start-stop technology from this month. This technique, which switches the engine off when the car is at a standstill, and starts it up again when you want to move, is designed to save Ferrari drivers a boatload of cash, while reducing Mother Nature's need to huff away on her giant asthma pump.
