Car Tech

People carriers are pretty damn ugly. Only the untimely arrival of offspring, a new job shuttling old people around or a sudden addiction to Ikea would lead us to buy one of these monsters -- until now.

We recently had the pleasure of test-driving the 2010 Citroen C3 Picasso, and we were immediately struck by how fetching it was. Rather than being lard-shaped, like the old model, this version looks modern, sculpted and -- if we're not mistaken -- even draws inspiration from  its namesake's Cubist art style.

There's plenty to talk about tech-wise: the C3 Picasso's packing MP3 playback via USB, digital instruments, user-controllable speed limiting and reverse parking aids, to name just a few. But is it the right sort of car for protecting your image and your newly hatched brood?

Watch the video and find out for yourself, or have a butchers' at our photo gallery for more details.
