Fancy winning a Kodak PlayTouch camcorder, and two tickets to the Like Minds social-media event and Like Music festival in Exeter? Good news! Exeter City Council and the organisers of Like Minds are giving you the chance to do just that. They'll also put you up for two nights in a four-star hotel.
The Like Minds event begins this Thursday and ends on Friday. If social media is important to you, chances are something will be taking place of interest. Each morning, there'll be a variety of workshops you can participate in, ranging from 'How to make great films in the YouTube age' to 'How to make the killer app'.
At lunchtime, you'll enjoy some nosh while discussing such topics such as 'Can you really crowd-source creativity?' and our favourite 'Any moment now, somebody's going to realise I'm just a big fraud and this will all be over'. After that, you can take your pick from a number of keynote speeches.
The Like Music festival takes place on Friday night, as 15 bands play across four venues in the Devon city. Such musical luminaries as iLiKETRAiNS and '90s pop sensation Finley Quaye are among the line-up that will soundtrack you dancing like a loon.
You needn't fear about forgetting any scintillating nuggets of Web 2.0 wisdom, because you'll be able to document your jaunt to Exeter in glorious 1080p high-definition footage, courtesy of your pocket-sized PlayTouch camcorder. With a touchscreen-based interface, it makes recording a video as simple as possible. Even your dad could use it.
