Hands-on the Hitachi DZ-HV564: HD on SD

The screen measures 64mm (2.5 inches), the same as the Zi6, but with the angling as a bonus. You also get a 5x optical zoom. The CMOS sensor packs a creditable 5 megapixels, so stills should be half-decent an' all.

Footage is recorded to SD or SDHC memory cards. Bearing in mind the inflated file sizes of HD video, we recommend SDHC, to take your memory capacity up to the heady heights of 16 and 32GB. The HV564 is exclusive to Dixons, and is available as part of assorted multi-buy deals, or on its own for a paltry £150.
