Hold me close now tiny camcorder
We really wanted to get our filthy little Crave hands on JVC's 3CCD pygmy-sized camcorder -- the MC500. Unfortunately they're so popular that we've had to settle for its poorer sibling, the MC200. Right now it's sitting on a desk here at Crave, charging its tiny little heart from the AC adaptor.
Although it's a single CCD camcorder, the size of the MC200 is startling -- someone with a large mouth could almost fit this JVC inside it and make a first-person perspective documentary. Obviously someone else would need to do the commentary.
Like the MC500, the MC200 records onto a miniscule, removable hard disk -- this is the same kind of drive as the one that nestles inside the iPod mini. This 4GB microdrive is roughly the size of an after-dinner chocolate. Beware, this is definitely not a camcorder for toddlers -- few parts of the JVC cannot be swallowed.
Once we've charged up our teeny tiny JVC, we'll let you know what the image quality is like. If it matches the styling and build quality of this device, then it should be impressive. -CS
