Crave goes Christmas shopping

Ah, Christmas, a time of infinite craving for countless digital desires... We've decided to put our craving to the test and from now until 25 December we'll be on a mission -- each member of the team has been given £5,000 in Virtual Crave Pounds (VCP) to spend on the best consumer electronics gear he or she can find.

The rules are astonishingly strict. All Crave Christmas shopping products must be available for purchase online in the UK with normal English pounds sterling. Every VCP must be spent, right down to the last Virtual Crave Penny. To keep things interesting, every writer has been given one free Santa gift.

As you plan your own purchases this Christmas, either meticulously ticking things off your list, or flailing around Oxford Street in a sweaty panic playing 'Christmas Chicken', spare a thought for the poor monkeys of Crave, who have to do the whole thing twice this year. Let us know what you think of our purchases.

And as a very special gift to you this Christmas, we've removed registration from the comments section of Crave. This means that you can now tell us exactly what you think of our shopping plans with, well, appalling speed. Your comments will posted live to the site immediately, so keep them clean: remember, your parents or servants may be reading. -MP
